Coligny Beach Park

There are good reasons why Coligny Beach is the most popular beach on Hilton Head Island. The beach’s hard-packed sand is perfect for setting chairs and umbrellas on while sunbathing or building sandcastles. The bathrooms and other amenities are very nice and include changing rooms and shower houses. There are also plenty of kiosks and shops where you can rent any beach equipment you could want from surfboards to kayaks and inner tubes. There are plenty of food options on Coligny Beach so you can stay and enjoy the beach from sun up to sunset and parking is free.

Coastal Discovery Museum

If you’re visiting Hilton Head Island with family, the Coastal Discovery Museum is a great place to learn about the natural history of Hilton Head, the islands and South Carolina. The museum offers workshops, programs, hosts special events and even offers island excursions. You can also visit the wild horses that live on Hilton Head Island while visiting or walk through the gardens.

Shelter Cove Town Centre

When you’re ready to get out of the sun and hang up the surfboard, head to Shelter Cove Town Centre for fine dining, boutique shops, and other great attractions including bars and breweries.

Live Oac Outdoor Adventure Compan

Live Oac is the most popular adventure company on the island and can offer you chances to see sharks, turtles, and even dolphins with a boat ride through the mangrove forests. You can also do more extreme water adventuring and let Live Oac take you fishing, wakeboarding, or waterskiing.

H20 Sports

You can’t talk about an island built on adventure tourism without mentioning H2O sports at Harbour Town Marina. You can rent an entire sailboat, go parasailing, rent a paddleboard, go water skiing, and tubing with certified guides and brand-new equipment that is kept in tiptop shape.

Java Burrito Company

Hilton Head Island may be one of the only places where you can find a coffee bar that is also a burrito bar. Java Burrito is family owned and operated, and uses local ingredients without MSG, additives, antibiotics, or hormones such as swordfish to stuff their burritos with.

Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks

This seafood restaurant is perfect for a first date or anniversary date, or when you’re just looking for excellent food and alcohol. Tables at Hudson’s Seafood House on the Docks overlook the Port Royal Sound and dining at sunset is one of the most romantic date’s activities you can enjoy on Hilton Head Island. Make sure to try the Fireball Cherry Moonshine, and the fresh catch of the day.
